Alex Pavon

Long story made kind of short: My name is Alex, I’m from Flagstaff, Arizona, and I love almost any adventure that takes place outside—but my favorite adventures are usually on two wheels or two skis. I learned how to ride a bike pretty much as soon as I could walk steadily, but I didn’t really start riding until I was 18. I grew up ski racing and chasing winter all year long. I rode my mountain bike for dryland training in the summer, and to get around town, but it wasn’t until 2013 when I retired from ski racing that I traded in my 1997 Rockhopper for a modern, full suspension mountain bike. I went to a few races that summer, and I’ve been hooked ever since.

Living in Northern Arizona means I have the ability to ride my bike year round, but living in the mountains means I get to choose between skiing and riding… So if it’s snowing, you can bet I’m probably skiing. When I’m not riding or skiing, I might be water skiing or hiking. But if I’m not doing any of those things, I’m probably in the Flagstaff Medical Center ER, where I work as an EMT. I am an avid lover of dogs, the outdoors, cactus, red lipstick, wine, whiskey, good hats, and cookies.
