"Be Kind"
Long-time ambassador Emily joined Juliana 7 years ago as an athlete and ambassador and currently lives in beautiful Bellingham, WA. During the work week she is a pediatric occupational therapist specializing in helping babies and toddlers with disabilities. She states that there is an impressive amount of overlap between her clinical work and bike coaching work. She finds joy in helping children achieve their next milestones, whether it be tackling a trail feature for the first time or getting dressed in the morning.
When she is not at the clinic you’ll probably hear her hooting and hollering down her local trails and coaching the Radical Rippers youth development team. Mentoring these young girls has allowed her to see mountain biking through a brand new lens while perfecting her own skills and technique in the process. Aside from coaching, she loves exploring new cultures and countries with her mountain bike. Her beloved Joplin and Roubion have accompanied her all over the globe to places like the Peruvian Andes, the Slovenian Alps, and Guatemalan volcanoes.
What's one thing that no one knows about you?
"I twirled baton in 2nd grade... all the way through 8th grade. We wore blue and pink leotards, performed in parades and Christmas shows, and my favorite routine was to some Mariah Carey song I can’t remember. Don’t judge."
